City employees present were Chief Drew, Public Works Director McFrederick and Clerk Kennedy.

Clerk Kennedy explained the remaining expenses that were not discussed on previous nights which included a proposed increase of $1.50/hour to be split between her staff and $6,000 in a utility billing software upgrade. Snowhaven budgeted $10,000 to repair the T-bar shack and $20,000 for equipment in the rental shop.

Discussion on pay increases occurred. It was agreed Officer Orgish should get a 3% increase since he’s maxed out on the police pay scale. All other increases were given as requested, with Chief Drew, PW Director McFrederick and Clerk Kennedy receiving a 3% increase.

Garbage: The Council decided to budget for a $.20 increase on City Administrative side for garbage.

On the Police side, the Council will budget for Whitcom and see what we can do with a contract with the Sheriff’s office. Webb funds will be budgeted for the infrastructure.

The salary change for fire was left in the budget along with proposed capital outlay requests.

For Street, Councilwoman Grant suggested budgeting money for a curb/gutter machine in case Public Works Director McFrederick can find a used machine. A project code will be created and all the LID investment money will be budgeted.

Discussion then occurred on the Library railing; Councilman Lester estimated it would cost about a $1,000 to get it fixed and powder coated.

The meeting adjourned at 9:20 P.M.
