City Council met in special session on July 21, 2020 at 6:00 P.M. in the Council Chambers of City Hall.

City employees present were City Administrator Kennedy, Librarian Sobrero and Assistant Librarian Brown. Chief Drew participated via phone.
LIBRARY: Sobrero explained she reduced travel and due to the free internet from Airbridge, the telecommunications line item was reduced. She is asking to increase the hourly rate of the assistant director position so there is only a $2.00 difference in starting wages, instead of $3.00. They work hard to cross-train and make sure both positions know how to operate the library. FOCL has agreed to give $500 for programing and the also hope to write a grant for a kid’s computer with FOCL being a sponsor also.
POLICE AND ANIMAL CONTROL: Chief Drew added $11,200 for possible vacation payout and one month of double coverage for the chief to work with the new chief. He moved $10,000 from overtime to salaries to allow for the part time fill in officer for coverage. A new server is budgeted at $25,200. The server could wait 1 year but that is maximum as its needed for security and robustness of software due to Spillman. An OHS Grant of $7,000 was also budgeted.
CITY: Kennedy increased the budget for an outside Attorney to $4,000 and re-budgeted the UB2 software.
RECREATION: Kennedy budgeted the remainder of the Klein funds in case we have a future project.
SNOWHAVEN: The rental shop has $8,000 budgeted to replace skis boots.
SALARIES: Most employees were covered by the salary schedule. The CPI for May 2019 – May 2020 is .1% so no increase was budgeted for employees not on the salary schedule or maxed out on the schedule.
