July 23, 2019 Special Meeting

City Council met in special session on July 23, 2019 at 6:00 P.M. in the Council Chambers of City Hall.

City employees present were Public Works Director Mager, City Administrator Kennedy and Chief Drew.

FIRE: Mager budgeted for 3 turn out sets with a 1.8% salary increase for chief and assistants.

STREET: Mager plans to do a BST on EN 7th. The loader needs new tires, purchase of a 1 ton for sanding and other departments and the purchase of 12 new garbage cans for Main Street. At PW building, Mager plans to upgrade the fuel pump system. The Main Street brick project is being re-budgeted for next year.

RECREATION: Mager will add a fence to the softball field and 3 tables to the park. The pool will be painted and a deko seal completed.

WATER: Mager increased mandated testing to allow for increased testing requirements for the year. Mager will have a tank inspection done with divers, generator inspections for Myrtle, Hall Street and Spencer and the upgade to the fuel pump system. The purchase of a portion of the new 1 ton, a generator for Park well, and mag meters for the wells were proposed. Added $120,000 to preventative well maintenance for Park Well repair.

SEWER: Mager has budgeted to upgrade the fuel pump system, purchase a trailer mounted generator for lift stations and a portion of the new 1 ton. Landia mixer servicer will occur, building a small sled shed over the vault to get the electrical raised above ground, a building over the pista grit to keep it from freezing and a new fence along west side of WWTP. Included is a new step screen.
