The following ordinance was adopted at the October 15, 2012 Council Meeting. This ordinance was amended to allow Liquor by the drink to be sold on general and primary election days.

 

GRANGEVILLE CITY ORDINANCE NO. 879

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF GRANGEVILLE PROVIDING FOR THE AMENDMENT OF SECTION 5-6B-12(C) OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF GRANGEVILLE; PROVIDING FOR THE RETENTION OF THE BALANCE OF THE ORDINANCE; PROVIDING FOR THE REPEAL OF ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND, PROVIDING FOR THE ORDINANCE BECOMING EFFECTIVE UPON ITS PASSAGE, APPROVAL, AND PUBLICATION.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRANGEVILLE, IDAHO COUNTY, IDAHO, AS FOLLOWS:

Section 1: Section 5-6B-12(C) of the Municipal Code of the City of Grangeville shall be amended to read as follows:

5-6B-12: HOURS OF SALE:
C. Hours of Sale of Liquor By The Drink:
No liquor by the drink shall be sold, offered for sale, or given away upon any licensed premises and all liquor not in sealed bottles must be locked in a separate room or cabinet during the following hours:

1. Christmas from the hour of 2:00 a.m. to the hour of 10:00 a.m. the following day.

2. On any other day between the hour of 2:00 a.m. and the hour of 10:00 a.m.

3. On any day of a general or primary election until the time when the polls are closed.

Section 2: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.

Section 3: This ordinance shall be effective upon its passage, approval, and publication in the Idaho County Free Press.

This ordinance passed under a suspension of the rule requiring three (3) readings on separate days at a regular meeting of the City Council held on the 15th day of October, 2012.
