APPROVAL OF MINUTES: On motion by Kevin Asker, second by Brian Perry to approve the minutes of July 25, 2023 as presented. Motion carried.
PUBLIC HEARING #1: The public hearing was opened at 6:02 pm. No public present.
APPLICANT PRESENTATION: Michael Sedgwick, 1123 N State explained he had survey completed which splits his property into 3 parcels. He would like to get it approved so he can put homes on parcel 1 and 2 when he is ready. His current home is on parcel 3. He has an access road and easement to parcel 3 that is 26’ wide. The new lots are approximately 100’ wide and 125’ deep. He is looking at providing housing options in Grangeville if he decides to sell the parcels in the future. His son may put a home on one of the lots.
STAFF PRESENTATION: Public Works Director Mager stated he’ll pump to State Street for sewer. They talked about culverting the ditch along North State; both water and sewer are on N. State. When meeting with Mike, they talked about right of way off the truck route for parcel 2 when building but felt N State access was better. Michael is working with the city to try to keep all the work on N. State so he doesn’t have to work with the highway district. As a past fire chief, Mager also looked at firefighting issues when the application first came in.
City Administrator Kennedy reported all notices of hearing were delivered to adjoining property owners and published in the paper as required.
