April 24, 2023 Fire Training Minutes

Training meeting Monday April 24, 2023

• Meeting called to order 1811
• 14 members in attendance
• Minutes read and approved
• Border Days this year will be 4 days, Rodeo on the 1^st, 2^nd, and 3^rd, Parade will be 2^nd, 3^rd, and 4^th
• Scholarships
  • Jared will touch base with Mrs. House
• PTO is having a Hero’s Day on May 23 at GEMS (possibly 9-230)
• Improvements for department
  • Discussion on how to properly fill out fire reports
• DeCaria’s will be putting on an EMR class this spring
• Truck servicing
  • Big 3 has been fully serviced including the breaks, greased, generator, air filter, check valve – remote breather
  • Little 1 will go in next
  • Flow test was performed by KNB Fire
    • This should be done annually
    • Discussion and plans for repairs, if needed
  • May 19^th truck 4 will be going to the daycare
  • Old gear will be washed prior to storage
  • TICS are all in.
  • Reminder to post if any gear is needed
  • Fireman preformed gear check, including batteries and air tanks, Nomex, all gloves, wildland gear
  • Fireman watched training videos on how to preform fireman drag
