Training meeting Monday April 28, 2025
Meeting called to order 1802

• 12 members in attendance plus one guest, Mike Birch
• Minutes read and approved
• New business
o Office facelift – new to us cabinets
o Fire Reports
 Who and how they are filled out

• Old business
o All training certificates need to be given to 543
 Fire School Certs will possibly be sent to city hall
o ID Badges currently in the works with city hall
• Apparatus Updates
o City 1 scene lights awareness when driving
o Rope on City 1 will be moved to City 4, potential of use greater especially working with extrication, another rope will need to replace old rope on 4
• Upcoming Trainings
o Real house for training continues – June 9th – venting
o Live Fire Trailor TBD
• Training and AAR/debrief
o Video on advancing hose lines
o Live house part 2
 Hands on training on advancing hose lines and searching
 No hydrants
o Debrief
 Everyone is a groundsmen
 Remember not to have tunnel vision
 Be aware of pinch points with hoses and corners
 Communication is a critical core skill
 Forcible entry
 Pre-loading hose
 For fires and training – do not leave until all equipment and supplies are put away, especially if you borrow someone else’s gear.
