Training meeting Monday May 12, 2025
Meeting called to order 1804
● 16 members in attendance
● Minutes from April 28th read and approved
● Jared reported that truck/engines all passed pump test. He said that the inspector said all of our equipment was in great condition and well maintained.
• Brian discussed connecting 50’ five inch hose on before the 100’ foot section. That way the 100’ would be the first section of hose off of the engine from the hydrant.

• AAR on garage fire on Florence.
• Brian discussed tonight’s training: Firefighting 101. From hydrant hookup to tool location and how to use them. Where tools, equipment, ladders, generators are located on each truck/engine and how to properly use them is our first step in successfully fighting fire.

• Discussion and approved next meeting will May 19th because Memorial Day is May 26.
• Border Days Update
• New policy, extraction team will be called first for lift assist and then GFD if necessary.
• Discussion on GFD scholarship and Roy Powell scholarship.
