Meeting called to order 1803
- Discussion on radio communications
- Pager have been having issues with tone outs and radio traffic, static
- First step will be to test handhelds and pagers
- DeCaria will be the liaison for what might be the culprit for the issues
- Would like to have our equipment checked to verify they are not the reasons
- Sheriffs, City, EMS, and Fire all seem to be having issues with high camp.
- Not having access to proper communications and being able to communicate with radios is a safety issue
- If there is an issue with your page, get with DeCaria
- Pagers are our primary way of being toned, cell phones and the active 911 app are not.
- Tacket will work on Engine 4’s Cab system.
- It is full of foam, but won’t light up
- Should have time Wednesday or Thursday to work on it
- Reminder to be aware when responding and on scene
- Know the different names for locations can be called, ie Camas Rock Pit vs Kaschmitters
- Resources on site, some locations have equipment that can be beneficial for use, like heavy equipment
- Be sure to keep our trucks and equipment out of the way for safety
- Weather – lightning is expected Tuesday through Friday
- It is now harvest – keep your heads on a swivel
- Equipment fluid levels checked on Trucks
