Training meeting Monday July 14, 2025
Meeting called to order 1804
● 10 members in attendance
● Brian reminded everyone that harvest is starting and he gave a brief description of how we fight a grass/field fire. #1. Stay in the black. #2 Keep Rural 2 out of the field. #3 Stage tanker for easy deployment. #4 Wear wildland pants and shirt. #5 Carry a radio.
● Discussion turned to John Urbahn’s retirement party. August 2nd at Lion’s Park. Starts at 17:00.
● Brian ask for help getting retired firemen aware of the party and he made a list of retires for everyone to contact and invite.
● Brian ask Cody to get the new TICs to those that wanted one.
● Brian ask Peebler to take some rookies to Lion’s Park to refresh them on how to pump from Truck #1 and Rural #2. Other firemen were dismissed to check equipment and then to roll Engine #2 to City Maintenance shed to practice with deluge gun.
