City Council met in special session on July 16, 2025 at 6:00 P.M. in the Council Chambers of City Hall.

City employees present were City Administrator Kennedy, City Treasurer Rowland, Chief Newman, Public Works Director Mager.
Budget Discussion and Balancing
The Council discussed the budget proposals. No capital outlay or maintenance items were removed.
Wages and COLA
Wage proposals for city hall, library directors and public works were approved. COLA was approved at 2.4%. Fire meetings were approved at $50.
Police Vehicles
Discussion occurred on the vehicles, warranties, engine hours vs idle time. Under a 3 year lease everything is under warranty but with a 4 year lease electronics are not under warranty. The Council asked the chief to get additional information and a decision will be made on the July 21st meeting.
