The City Council met in regular session on June 16, 2014 at 7:30 P.M. in the Council Chambers of City Hall.

City employees present were Chief Drew, Attorney Green, Public Works Director McFrederick and Clerk Kennedy.
MINUTES: The meeting was called to order and the minutes of June 2nd were approved as presented by Councilman Peterson, second by Councilwoman Grant. Motion carried by a unanimous vote of the Council present.
PUBLIC HEARING SEWER CAMERA FEES: Clerk Kennedy reported the proposed fee is $100.00/hour with a 1 hour minimum. No public comments were made. The hearing closed at 7:32 pm.
VISITORS: Chuck Rogers, Triangle Tavern was present to ask for a catering permit over Border Days for his parking lot. On motion by Councilman Lorentz, second by Councilman Peterson to grant a catering permit for Triangle Tavern July 3-5, 2014, 11am-2am in the parking lot. Motion carried by a unanimous vote of the Council present.
WWTP PHASE II UPDATE: Public Works Director McFrederick stated the project is substantially complete. The contractor had 35 items on the punch list but they are now down to about 5 items.
COMMITTEE REPORTS: The department had 29 cases written, 12 citations, 1 written warning and 111 calls for service for May 2014. The Police and Animal Control Report for May 2014 was accepted on motion by Councilman Peterson second by Councilman Lester. Motion carried by a unanimous vote of the Council present. The cover over the kennel is installed at the pound. The concrete work turned out well and the hot water project will finish up after the 4th of July.
BILLS: The bills in the amount of $179,712.91 were approved and ordered paid out of their respective funds, on motion by Councilman Lester, second by Councilman Peterson. Motion carried by a unanimous vote of the Council present.
RESOLUTION NO. 240

The following resolution was introduced by Councilman Lester who moved for its adoption. Second by Councilman Lorentz.
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF GRANGEVILLE ESTABLISHING A NEW FEE FOR A SEWER CAMERA CHARGE.
ROLL CALL VOTE: YES: Dumas, Houger, Lester, Lorentz, Grant, Peterson. NO: none. The motion passed. Mayor Walker then declared Resolution No. 240 duly approved and adopted.
ITEMS TO NOTE: Budget Workshops are July 14, 16, 17 at 6pm. No personnel handbook changes were received this year. A new sign for Pioneer Park was viewed and a design picked out.
