Training meeting Monday June 30, 2020
Prior to the meeting several members showed up early to wash trucks.
Meeting was called to order by Chief Mager at 18:02.
Chiefs discussed plan for July 4th and Border Days briefly and then introduced reps for Scott Air packs.
Scott presented for about 1 hours followed by a lively Q+A session. The new packs meet or exceed current NFPA standards including universal RIT and Buddy Breathing Valves, drag straps, and other internal safety features. It was informative for both new personnel and those who have had other training in the past.
After the SCBA presentation, Chief Mager discussed the plan for the July 4th parade. He reiterated his reasons for scaling back activities and emphasized his motives were to keep fire department members and our community safe. At 19:30 the group broke apart into work groups for the remainder of the evening to work on gear checks, prepare for the fireworks, and other tasks and did not reconvene formally afterward.
