Training meeting Monday March 28, 2022
Meeting called to order 1838
- Minutes for March 14 were read and approved
- Department toured Obenaufs with Kyle Thomlinson prior to meeting
- Fire School was attended by Mark D, Joey R, Lane P, Matt S, Graydon G, and Michael S
- Discussion on what was learned and ideas for future trainings
- Matt Parr has resigned from the department
- New recruit, Jason Tarlton who also works at Lindsley’s
- Buffalo update
- Discussion on complete rebuild or specific needs that will address if more will be needed to be done.
- Discussion was held about driving safely to the station for calls
- There have been public complaints
- Cannot run stoplights or stop signs
- Do not speed or pass
- Be safe
- Online training opportunity
- Classes can be assigned and many have course certifications
- Can input currently held certifications/records
- This will help with the educational gap that the department currently has
- 1 year trial of program approved
- Copies of current Certs will need to be brought into the office from everyone
- Fireworks update – approved by department to put in an order for this coming 4th of July
- People need to step up for fundraisers, talk to Brian, Beth or Jared, work will start in May
- Next training will be VES and air pack training at the high school lead by DeCaria and Graydon
