Training meeting Monday November 22, 2021
- Meeting called to order at 1800
- Firemen put finishing touches on the Santa Truck. Mike gave a quick demonstration on how to start the generator on the Santa Truck. Bob gave a few last minute instructions for the Santa Truck. Start around 1700 and be done no later than 2000. Always check the gas and the oil. Bob reminded everyone to sign up on the calendar for the Santa Truck.
- Bob discussed a request from the Free Press asking the Santa Truck to stop and hand out candy canes to kids. The discussion turned to safety, and everyone at the meeting decided against the idea because of safety reason. If the Free Press wishes to purchase candy canes for Santa to hand out at the tree lighting ceremony that would be okay.
- Brian gave a walkthrough of where equipment, tools apparatus, is on all trucks/engines.
