Fire Call Review
• Bitterroot Drive Call
o Active 911 does not always show the correct address or route to find an address
o Ask Dispatch for clarification of address and directions, if needed
o All occupants out of the building was clearly communicated
o Do not text during a fire, just go
o After initial size up of the call, the building was vented and the oven and microwave were removed
o The breaker was turned off and the microwave was unplugged prior to arrival of GFD
o Great reminder to make sure breakers are off
o Another reminder to have a minimal impact on property
o Dispatcher kudos given – she was very interactive and knowledgeable
Special Events
• IFG Health Fair was attended by GFD
• EMT class will be starting soon and will be held on Mondays

o Reviewed information on Bow String Trusses on buildings and the potential dangers
• Second video discussing ca multi-alarm fire with calling for a MAYDAY
• Review of GFD SOPs and safety issues to be aware of and prevention
