Thursday, May 09, 2013, 5:39 am. Grangeville police were dispatched to Grangeville High School, located at 910 South D. Street, this morning after Mountain View School district superintendant Greg Bailey reported a bomb threat at the High School. Details of the threat method are not being released due to the ongoing investigation. This occurred prior to the start of the school day and no children were on campus.
“We take incidents like this very seriously with nothing but great concern for the safety of our children and the community. We utilize specifically trained resources available to us to minimize harm to the community and first responders. We continue to work in partnership with school officials in an attempt to identify the individual or individuals responsible for this act. A $500 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for the threat is being offered by the Mountain View School district.” Chief Morgan Drew.
